Cherry Festival with Montgomery Gentry!

On Sunday, June 30, The guys and I headed up to B-E-A- UTIFUL Traverse City, MI to play the National Cherry Festival with Montgomery Gentry. What an absolutely AWESOME experience.

Awesome Crowd at Cherry Festival

I grew up in Clare, Michigan (just down the road from Traverse City) and spent a lot of summers and free time up north growing up. I always wondered what it would be like to play the main stage at Cherry Festival. It was a pretty cool feeling to get to realize that dream. It was even more amazing to get to realize that dream with the INSANELY AWESOME Montgomery Gentry. Holy smokes do these guys put on a show! Super talented! Very nice guys as well. It was an honor to share a stage with them.

MG blowing it out of the water...literally. Amazing.

I've been getting to realize a lot of my dreams lately and it's blowing my mind. Seriously. This summer has been amazing so far and we're barely through it. Can't believe we still have shows coming up with, Little Big Town, Ransy Houser, Charlie Daniels Band, The Farm, Tyler Farr...the list does on. CRAZY! I am constantly looking at our tour schedule and going, "Really? Like, is this for real...because we used to only get to play acoustic shows two Wednesdays a month...and now...wooooow." And it's only gonna keep getting more crazy and awesome the harder I work to stay on this path. That is nuts to think about and I am so ready.

ROCK OUT!

It's an incredible thing to get to look around and realize that you are doing exactly what you should be doing. I'll never take for granted how blessed and fortunate I am to get to do something that I love. Still have a long road to travel, but I feel good about where it's taking me....most of the time. ;) Believe me, there are days when I am a "Negative Nelly" and I need to be knocked back down a couple notches. That's when the support and love that I receive from fans comes in. You guys are the ones that bring me back when I'm feeling defeated or hardened by this crazy life. You have no idea how much your words, actions, encouragement and relentless support mean to me and what it does for me. Thanks for being there for me, you guys. I'll keep writing and singing music as long as you'll listen. Thanks for letting me be a dreamer and thanks for making that dream real for me. Love you guys. <3

I don't know who wrote this on my car, but thanks! Made me smile. Best Fans EVER! :D

Nothin' but love
