Kalamazoo State Theatre with Scotty McCreery...

Hey y'all! Life has been a little crazy lately. I'm sorry that this blog post is coming a bit late!
I got to head back to my home state of Michigan to open for Scotty McCreery at the Kalamazoo State Theatre a week and a half ago. I also got to visit my friend, John Sinkevics at Local Spins LIVE Radio and debut the first single off my new album! It was all pretty darn great! Check out some of the highlights below. :)

I loved getting to chat and debut the first single off my new record at WJRW 1340 Radio for Local Spins LIVE! with John Sinkevics and Dave Jaconette. It had been a while since I had the opportunity to be on the show and it was awesome getting to catch up with these guys. John Sinkevics is such a champion for the local scene in west Michigan. He has been supporting my music since I first started playing out. West Michigan's local scene is so lucky to have, John and I'm so lucky to have had his support for so long. Thank you for having me guys and continuing to follow my music! <3

I played my new single, "Sweetheart" (written here in Nashville with my good pal, Brian Donkers). Thanks to everyone who sent me sweet messages after the live radio segment about my new song! This is a very special song to me and I am so proud and touched by the way it is resonating with folks. Check out the link below to read the interview, listen to the podcast stream from my segment and/or watch the video of my acoustic performance of "Sweetheart." You can read/listen/watch it here ---> Local Spins LIVE with John Sinkevics.

This cute little nugget watching the video from my Local Spins LIVE! performance made my day.

The day of the show started with a trip to see my favorite ladies at Cheeky Strut Salon and Siren and Proper Lash Lounge and Brow Bar

Lisa (makeup artist) and Hillary (stylist) are incredible and they are the ultimate GLAM SQUAD y'all. These girls are so creative and talented and somehow I got lucky enough to get to have them do my hair and makeup for shows, photo shoots, music videos...etc. I recommend them up and down and not just because they are rockstars at what they do, but because they are also two of the most wonderful and kind women I know. Check them out if you need hair/makeup for a special event or if you just want a fresh cut/color/style. And reach out to me if you want some help making an appointment with one of them. I'm happy to help point you in the right direction!

Three people came up to me after my show and told me that I reminded them of Stevie Nicks...

We arrived at the State Theatre for load in and soundcheck and were immediately shown so much hospitality by the folks who work there. I can't say enough about that. The State Theatre took awesome care of me, my band and my entire crew. The crew at The State Theatre are an absolute topnotch bunch. We appreciated them so much. Huge THANK YOU to them for bringing me on board for this show. It was wonderful to get to come home to Michigan and play at one of my very favorite venues ever. Thank you Kalamazoo State Theatre!

Make sure y'all check out the fantastic shows they put on. Check their website often and follow them on Facebook and Twitter. They always bring out incredible artists from all genres of music!

Hi. xo

Soundcheck. The State Theatre in Kalamazoo, MI is so beautiful. One of my very favorite venues!

Lovely Theater!

A little clip from soundcheck. One of the tracks that will be on my new album. This song is called, "Little Games."

One of the coolest things about this night was that Chop & Hue was there to film my show and hang out with us backstage before we hit the stage. I'm so excited for y'all to see the footage they got. I love this crew. They are crazy talented and creative. I am beyond thankful and thrilled to get to work with them. I'll be working with them to release so many fun things leading up to my new album release. AND, I'm shooting the music video for my first single off the new album with them in just a couple weeks! Ahhhh, SO many exciting things guys! :)

Eric Stoike of On The Run Photography was there to capture some cool moments throughout the night. Big thanks to him for getting sweet shots and sharing them with me. He always takes awesome photos!

Going over dem new tunes one more time. :)

Almost show time.

I love this guitar. This Breedlove Guitar has seen so many beautiful stages with me and shared my best memories playing music.

Warming up about 10 minutes before showtime.

At 8pm we hit the stage and played a 45 minute set, 10 songs, throwing in one cover, "Ring of Fire," because I love playing that song so much. It was awesome getting to play brand new songs from the new album for the first time. It's always a little nerve-racking debuting new songs, but y'all gave me and the guys the warmest welcome. It was incredibly encouraging to receive so much positive feedback from the crowd during and after the show. Not to mention, y'all gave me my first standing ovation for a show like this! I am literally smiling as I type that sentence because I can't stop smiling about it. You all completely made my night by doing that and what an assurance to have that happen on this night playing all of these new songs.

I will never forget it. I will never forget the way it sounded in that theater when we finished our set and I'll never forget how it made me feel. Thank you for giving me that moment. <3

The vibe of my new album is different than anything I have put out before. I love these songs and I am so proud of them. I'm on pins and needles waiting to put this new album in all of your hands! Thank you to everyone who was at the State Theatre and showed us all that LOVE. Y'all truly made my night and we enjoyed playing for you so much!

MLive's John Gonzalez wrote an awesome review of the show. You can read it and see some more photos from both mine and Scotty's set by clicking the link to the review below.

Love the lighting at Kalamazoo State Theatre.

Sometimes I have to stop on stage, listen and just appreciate my band. They are incredible and I love getting to make music with them.

A lot of y'all were asking where I got my dress. I got it at Blush Boutiques in Nashville! They always have unique dresses and designs and they won't break your bank! Check them out. :) One of my favorite places for sure!

Literally cannot get through a show without at least one finger gun, apparently.

John Reasonar took some wonderful photos during the show as well. Big thanks to him for sharing them! You can see more photos from my set and from Scotty's set by following the link to National Country Review's coverage of the night below.

I could not stop smiling y'all. Such a great night.

Big thanks to Dan Socie at Chop & Hue for this fantastic photo from the show!

Scotty McCreery killin' it!

I loved meeting all of you SO much. This little one stole my heart. When I was singing my new single, "Sweetheart" she was in the front row hanging on every word. It melted me. I got to meet her after the show and she let me sign her cool hat!

Can't say enough about these two. They have been supporting me and my music for a long time and are some of the sweetest and most encouraging people. Love you guys! Thank you for everything you do for me. I'm so happy you were able to come to the show and that you like the new songs!

Meeting all of you at my shows is absolutely the highlight. I love hugging you. I love hearing your stories. I love when you share your stories with me about how a song that I wrote connected with you, helped you through a situation in your life or that you just like to turn up my music in your car and sing your face off! I love taking pictures with you and that you let me sign your hats and boots and posters and tickets. I love you guys. Thank you for waiting in lines to say hello. Thank you for sharing your stories with me and thank you for the encouragement and kindness you give me. You guys will never know how much it means to me. <3

These two people are rockstars.

I don't know what I did to deserve having them in my life, but I am so thankful God brought us all together. I can't even count the amount of times that I think of something I need to do on busy days and on days of shows and I go to ask Jaimie if she can help me take care of it and she's already read my mind and taken care of it. This girl deserves a gold medal for the amount of running around she does for me, the amount of stress she relieves from my life, the fantastic ideas she comes up with and the amount of times she reads my mind ahead of time. I seriously don't know how she does it. AND, she even makes sure that I always have gluten-free/vegetarian food to eat...she makes sure that I eat the day of shows, in general, haha. I could not have dreamed up a better person to get to call a best friend AND tour manager.

I can't even begin to tell you the amount of times that Dan has reached out and offered help at just the right time, shown up with my favorite tea because he knows that I probably forgot to grab it, or runs around for me the day of a show to make sure that we have everything we need for a successful night. He always has just the right encouraging words when I need them. Always has awesome and new ideas and I love the peace of mind I get to have knowing that he is behind my merchandise table. He is an absolutely phenomenal merchandise representative, but he is so much more than that.

Someone gave me some of the best advice I've ever received a long time ago when they said, "Above all, make sure that you completely trust the people you work with. Make sure they have your best interest at heart and make sure they understand you as an artist and know what you are about and what you stand for."

It's not always the case that you can say you completely trust the people you work with in this industry. I get to say that and I don't take it for granted. I get to say that about this little team of mine. I have zero reservations when it comes to them. These two people know who I am and know what I'm about. They make my world a little easier and keep it from falling apart sometimes. They are my best friends and the best people I could be lucky enough to also work with. I hit the jackpot with these two humans y'all. I can't wait until I can give them both a proper bonus for all of the years of hard work they have put in to help me be successful, all because they believe in what I am doing. How lucky and blessed am I?!

...The bonus is coming guys, I promise! ;) Love you both so much.

Big thanks to, Zach Scott at Fruitful Music Group for all of his hard work to make sure this show was a success as well! He put in a lot of time making sure all of the details were taken care of and it's so appreciated!

Thank you to everyone involved for an amazing night! I won't forget this one. What a way to launch into the new year! New album coming soon. New music video on the way. New website in the works. New merchandise designs and fun new things to have at my shows. Leaving for a new west coast tour in a couple weeks. New summer tour dates. And a CD release show date that I will be announcing soon.

Guys, I don't think I've ever been this excited.

The best is yet to come! Thanks for hanging in there with me! Check out my Facebook Page - Kari Lynch Music for updates about the album release and exciting announcements in the coming weeks/months! You don't wanna miss out! <3

Nothin' but love!
